Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Panel Discussion
Join this Zoom call for a panel discussion on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion moderated by Laura Sipes, L&M Consulting. She will also provide a brief overview of what some employers are doing to increase diversity and equity awareness. Special guest panelists are listed below.
Reggie Davis is a Supply Chain executive specializing in leadership and distribution. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his experiences working in retail, transportation and state government. Reggie is passionate about cultural awareness and ensuring employees have a positive experience while working under his leadership. Reggie has held increasing levels of leadership roles for Goodyear, Walmart, Target and Kohl’s and currently leads a new, flagship distribution center with Sally Beauty Holdings. Reggie is a graduate of the University of Kansas and he currently lives in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Clarissa Murray is the Employee Relations Manager of Fike Corporation. Clarissa is a board member of; the Blues Springs Chamber, Blue Springs Recovery Task Force and the Eastern Jackson County Workforce Development Board, The Full Employment Council, Inc., (FEC). As an HR professional, Clarissa has been fortunate to work for outstanding organizations and build relationships with phenomenal people. Clarissa enjoys the diversity of the human resources arena, no two days are the same. Clarissa provides support to domestic subsidiaries and international locations and management in addressing various human resource issues. Clarissa provides coaching and guidance for managers on employee issues and conducts workplace investigations. Working proactively is Clarissa’s preference, this allows her to think strategically and accurately track and monitor department KPI’s. The essential function of HR is to protect the line of business and Clarissa takes great pride in fulfilling that role. Clarissa earned a Master of Science in Management from Baker University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from Rockhurst University. Clarissa earned her human resources certification, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI.
BJ Ross is the VP of Fulfillment and Logistics of Omaha Steaks. He has 20 years of experience within the logistics industry. He has held various leadership roles for companies such as Fedex, Kohls, and Crate & Barrel. BJ serves on the Board of Directors for the Urban League of Nebraska. BJ is a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, KS where he majored in Business Finance. Currently resides in Omaha, NE where he is married to his wife Kayla and their two kids Isaiah, 4 and Naomi,
Brianna Davis Johnson is a higher education professional specializing in diversity and inclusion and strategic planning. She has detailed knowledge of common organizational barriers that often hinder diversity and inclusion initiatives and is passionate about helping employees navigate those barriers and helping organizations work to eliminate them. Dr. Johnson earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin. She also holds a M.S. in Higher Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Educational Studies and Urban Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
